Final-year students majoring in Agronomy, Organization of Agricultural Farming Enterprises, and Agrotourism at the Barda State College of Management and Technology participated in a production internship at the Karabakh Scientific Research Base of the Genetic Resources Institute.

As part of the production internship, the students gained first-hand insight into the scientific research activities conducted at the Base, breeding plots, modern agrotechnical practices, and innovative approaches applied in agricultural production. They were provided with comprehensive information on the practical application of theoretical knowledge in the agricultural sector, modern farming technologies, and the principal areas of scientific research.

On 17 June 2026, the Director of the College, Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Sciences Khosrov Musayev, together with members of the teaching staff, visited the Karabakh Scientific Research Base to familiarize themselves with the progress of the internship. During the visit, particular attention was paid to the students’ activities, and it was emphasized that the practical knowledge and skills they acquired would play an important role in their professional development.

As part of the visit, the participants were introduced to promising wheat varieties developed by breeders. Detailed information was provided on the biological characteristics, yield potential, and prospects for the practical application of these varieties in agricultural production. The results of the scientific research and breeding activities carried out at the Base were also presented to the participants.

During the visit, the importance of cooperation between educational institutions and scientific research organizations was highlighted. The participants exchanged views on enhancing students’ practical knowledge and skills, as well as strengthening their preparedness for future professional activities.

Such internships make a significant contribution to consolidating students’ specialized knowledge and fostering their development as qualified professionals capable of meeting the requirements of the modern agricultural sector.
