Delegation led by ANAS President visits Ukraine

Paton Boris Yevgenyevitch- a prominent scientist in the field of metallurgy and metal technology, Doctor of technical sciences, Professor, academician, since 1962 the permanent president of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. On November 27, Boris Paton marked 100th universary. On November 27, 1918, there is another significant event in the history of Ukraine - the foundation of the National Academy of Sciences. So, two fates intertwined - the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and an outstanding scientist who has been headed it for more than half a century.

Festive events in connection with the two centuries anniversary are held on December 6-7 in Kiev, Ukraine. ANAS delegation headed by ANAS President, academician Akif Alizadeh attended the event.

On December 5, delegation visited the embassy of our republic to Kiev. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Azar Khudiyev received academician Akif Alizadeh.

Then, academician Akif Alizadeh addressed to the Azerbaijani students, studying in Ukraine and respondent questions.

Members of the delegation, ANAS Vice-President, academician Ibrahim Guliyev, ANAS Academician-Secretary, academician Rasim Alguliyev, head of ANAS Department of the Institute of Philosophy, Doctor of Philosophy Fuzuli Gurbanov and others Participated in the discussion.

On the same day, members of the delegation met with Vladimir Aleksandrovich Yemelyanov, First Deputy Chief Scientific Secretary, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and a prominent geologist, academician, twice State Award in the field of science and technology, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, active member of the International Academy of Sciences of Eurasia Yevgeniy Fedorovich Shnukov. The discussion covered issues of future joint research.
