Senior researcher of the department of Molecular cytology of Genetic Resources Institute (GRE) of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), doctor of philosophy in Biology Govhar Rasizadeh has been awarded with a golden medal and diploma titled “The best patriot and resercher scietist” by European Publication Press House.
The award was presented to the researcher for the cytogenetic evaluation of local and introduced samples of vegetables and melons, leguminous and grain crops, as well as successful scientific researches in the sphere of cytogenetic research of grapes, scientific inventions and important of services developement of Biology in Azerbaijan.
She is also an author of new means against phylloxera pests obtained through a cytogenetic research on local and American resistant and unresistant grape varieties.
Govhar Rasizadeh has more around 70 scientific works published in Azerbaijan and foreign countries. One of these articles was published in European Journal of Technical andNatural Sciences in 2016.
Presently, she is involved into cytological works in new forms obtained by ICARDA organization to the end of enriching gene fund of legumes plants in the “Solution of acute issues of selection in Azerbaijan” project.
