A training session on the effective use of the ProQuest Central academic information database and the Web of Science scientometric platform was held within the framework of the national agreement signed between the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Clarivate.

The event was jointly organized by the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, the Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Science and Education, and Clarivate’s representative office in Azerbaijan. More than 120 representatives of scientific institutions and organizations operating under the Ministry participated in the training.

The Genetic Resources Institute of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was represented by Ulkar Huseynova-Mustafayeva and Latifa Hasanova, employees of the International Laboratory of Computational Genomics.

During the training, participants received detailed information on the capabilities of ProQuest Central and Web of Science, methods for searching scientific literature, identifying reliable scholarly sources, evaluating scientific research, and using these resources to enhance the international visibility of research findings.

Practical examples were also presented to demonstrate effective search strategies in international scientific databases and the efficient use of retrieved information in the research process.

The event concluded with a question-and-answer session and an exchange of views on expanding the use of international scientific information resources.
