From 15 to 17 September 2026, Rukhangiz Mammadova, Head of the Technical and Fodder Crops Department and Associate Professor, participated in a regional seminar-training on “Advancing Women’s Leadership in Climate-Resilient Agriculture in Central Asia” in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Organized by the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA) with the support of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the event brought together 22 women specialists from Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries.

The three-day programme covered climate-resilient agriculture, women’s leadership, seed systems, agricultural value chains, market access and entrepreneurship through presentations and practical sessions.

The training contributed to strengthening professional knowledge, promoting the sustainable use of plant genetic resources, and expanding international cooperation in climate-resilient agriculture.
