The delegation included Professor Kenji Irie, NARO Group Leader Hirotaka Yamaguchi, and Researcher Ryosuke Hosoi.

During the visit, the participants discussed cooperation in the conservation and management of plant genetic resources, joint scientific expeditions, the collection of vegetable crops and their wild relatives, and specialist exchange.

The parties agreed to organize joint expeditions in different regions of Azerbaijan and collect genetic materials for further research.
