A group of employees of the Genetic Resources Institute of ANAS (Khadija Bayramova, Shalala Abdulrahimli, Gular Ismayilova, Bayram Bayramov and Mehraj Abbasov) took part in the training  "Basis of Bioinformatics, Genomics, Proteomics and NGS data set analysis" held by the Indian bioinformatics organization "NextGenHelper" on January 23, 24 and 30, 2021. Basics of data set analysis ”course. The course covers “Basic Linux / Shell Commands for Starting Bioinformatics Analysis”, “Gene Expression Analysis Using Online Platforms”, “Microbioma Data Analysis”, “Automated Genome Assembly and Annotation”, “Complete Exomic Sequencing Data Analysis and Option Identification” Theoretical lectures on "Determination of protein structure on the basis of the similarity model" and practical work were carried out.

GEI employees successfully completed the training and received a certificate.

In order to organize a more in-depth study of training materials on selected topics ("Linux / Shell commands", "Genome assembly and annotation", "Comparative analysis of complete exome data"), the Institute plans to organize seminars with the participation of young specialists.
