The winner of the inaugural “Jalal Aliyev Lecture Scholarship Award”, established by the International Society of Photosynthesis Reserch is Prof. Jian-Ren Shen from Okayama University, Japan.

At the international conference, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of academician Jalal Aliyev the award was presented by the secretary of International Society of Photosynthesis Reserch, Professor Julian Eaton-Rye.

Professor Julian Eaton-Rye delivered a lecture on “Aliyev's contributions to photosynthesis in the world”.

In his report, Professor spoke about the role of a prominent scientist Jalal Aliyev in determining new directions of biological science in Azerbaijan, solving current problems, the development of agrarian science in general, a comprehensive study of the photosynthesis process as the basis of wheat productivity.
