Next international webinar (seminar via internet) has been held at the Genetic Resources Institute (GRI) of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
Senior scientific researcher of the GRI, doctor of philosophy in Biology Saltanat Agayeva made a report entitled “Influence of electromagnetic waves on the activity of monoaminergic systems in the brain structures” at the webinar. She provided general information about electromagnetic rays and sources, electromagnetic fields influence created by modern technologies and told about actual problems created by it.”
S.Agayeva noted that the problem of influence of rays on the living organisms requires comprehensive researches from molecular and cell level up to behavioural reactions.
She informed that the scientific innovation of the topic determines regularities of changes created in the functional state of the animal MSS depending on the research and analysis of activity of monoaminergic systems in the cortex and sub-cortex structures of the head brain, modulation parameters of the EMS influence in non-thermal intensity.
Based on the information obtained as a result of the research this or other tendencies in the functional condition of the MSS can carry out adequate selection of the EMS.
This, in turn, opens perspective ways for the resolution of the distant management problem of the MSS state with assistance of the EMS amplitude-frequency and modulation parameters.
During the webinar wide discussions have been held around the topic followed by the question and answer session.
Let’s note that doctor of philosophy in Biology SaltanatAgayeva participated in various international and local conferences and seminars during her scientific activity, and published 20 scientific works in the local and foreign press. At the same time she is a lecturer on Human Physiology and Basics of Medical Knowledge in the Baku Industrial-Pedagogical College.
