Next international webinar (seminar via internet) has been held at the Genetic Resources Institute (GRI) of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). 

         Senior scientific researcher of the GRI, head of the Human Genetics Group, doctor of philosophy in Biology Elvin Aliyev made a report called “Biochemical and genetic research of chemotherapeutic medicines influence applied in the cell culture conditions on the cells of malignant tumours of human being” at the webinar.He provided general information about malignant tumours forming in the human body. He also told about the genetic and biochemical basics of the cancer.

He emphasized that a number of cancer researches in the world are held in in- vitro culture conditions and positive results are later studied again. Elvin Aliyev noted that he held his researches on the lung cancer cell “Human A549”. Sensitive researches of such kind must be carried out only in specially prepared laboratories. Holding such researches is being planned at the GRE too.

Let’s note that doctor of philosophy in Biology Elvin Aliyev during scientific activity participated in a number of international research works and projects connected with the cancer.

He worked as a specialist in the clinical laboratory of the Ataturk  University and as a lecturer on this specialization in theoretical and practical studies at the Faculty of Medicine.  He is the author of 14 international scientific works.
