Director of Genetic Resources Institute (GRI) of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), corresponding member of ANAS Dr. Zeynal Akparov and a memberof Human Genetics Group of Biotechnology Department of the GRI, Junior Scientific Researcher Nigar Mammadova have been on a scientific trip in Minsk, Belarus Republic during 4 days.
The main goals of the scientific trip consisted from learning wide experience and related document collected by institutes of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and, especially, Institute of Genetics and Cytology in the sphere of commercialising science, as well as conducting joint scientific and research works, and discussions connected with future cooperation. On the sidelines of this visit they had meetings in NASB and the Scientific and Practical Center for Arable Farming.
Within the framework of the visit, a wide exchange of views relevant to the accreditation and certification of research laboratories working for paid services was held with the leadership of NASB. They also learned experince obtained in the relevent sphere by the institute.
At the same time, they made a number of additional notes in connection with commercialization of the scienceand obtained necessary documents. A cooperation agreement concluded with NASB several years ago was prolonged and a new agreemeent on exchange of genetic materials signed.
