Results of Field Seminars Discussed at the Zuvand (Lerik) Support Station of the Genetic Resources Institute
A discussion was held on the results of the field seminars with the participation of staff members of the Zuvand (Lerik) Support Station of the Genetic Resources Institute, employees of the Zuvand State Reserve, representatives of the Qosmalian Municipality, and local farmers.
The discussion focused on the impact of climate change on plant diversity in the Zuvand region, as well as the conservation and protection of cultivated and endemic plant species at risk of extinction and the sustainable use of genetic resources.
The meeting highlighted the importance of conserving local plant genetic resources, ensuring their preservation for future generations, and raising farmers’ awareness of these issues.
