The meeting focused on matters related to doctoral training at the Institute and the organization of its scientific activities.

The first item on the agenda was the admission of applicants to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme, in accordance with the admission quota allocated to the Genetic Resources Institute. Based on the results of the competition and examinations, the admission of Azada Azad gizi Shahmuradova, who achieved the highest result, to the doctoral programme was approved.

The Council also considered the approval of the minutes of the preliminary discussion, dated 23 June 2026, of the dissertation submitted by Matanat Jeyhun gizi Bakhishova in the specialty 2415.01 – Molecular Biology, entitled “The Structure of the Anti-Cancer Glu-Gln-Arg-Pro-Arg Pentapeptide and Its Possible Mechanisms of Action on Lung Carcinoma Cells.” Other issues included on the agenda were also discussed, and the relevant decisions were adopted.
