The main topics of the seminars included the conservation and protection of rare and endangered plant species found in the Zuvand region under changing climatic conditions; the organization of measures for the conservation of wild relatives of cultivated plants; and the conservation, propagation, and sustainable use of genetic resources.

During the events, extensive discussions were held on increasing the productivity of grain, melon, and vegetable crops in cultivated areas to contribute to ensuring food security, as well as on issues arising from the tasks set by Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, concerning the development of the agricultural sector.

The mobile field seminars were significant in terms of promoting the conservation of plant genetic resources in the region, the efficient use of agricultural crops, and raising farmers’ awareness of these issues.
