The training was delivered by Rukhangiz Mammadova, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Technical and Fodder Crops at the Genetic Resources Institute of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The sessions covered modern approaches to studying the genetic characteristics of new cotton varieties and forms, as well as identifying genotypes resistant to Fusarium and Verticillium wilt diseases. Practical applications of the relevant methods were also demonstrated in the laboratory.

The event also included discussions on expanding inter-institutional cooperation and opportunities for conducting joint research.
